The 2nd Multidisciplinary Symposium on Sleep Respiratory Disorders, sponsored by Beijing Huaxin Hospital, was officially held in the Academic Hall on April 11. The one-day multi-disciplinary Symposium on respiratory disorders is aimed at OSA-related respiratory physicians, cardiovascular clinicians, otolaryngologists, and anesthesiologists. This project aims to enhance the understanding of sleep disorders of breathing among medical staff, actively carry out multidisciplinary collaboration, and improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
                                                         
In his opening speech, President Zhang Mingkui introduced the achievements made by Professor Cui Rong in the treatment of sleep respiratory diseases in our respiratory department for a long time
                             
The conference introduced the development and current situation of sleep medicine, interpreted the latest international classification of sleep disorders, and introduced the new perspective of medical diagnosis and treatment and surgical treatment of sleep respiratory diseases combined with clinical practice. Sleep medicine is an interdisciplinary frontier subject. By discussing the relationship between sleep respiratory diseases and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, children's growth and development, and perioperative management, we can strengthen the multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment strategy. Provide a communication platform to improve the understanding of sleep disorders of breathing, vigorously promote the standardization of diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

Professor Dong Xiaosong, Sleep Center of Peking University People's Hospital, Professor Zhang Xiaolei, Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital, Director Gao Yunhai, Otolaryngology Department of Beijing Huaxin Hospital, and Deputy Director Yang Yongtao, Anesthesiology Department were invited to report to the conference, to share the latest progress of sleep medicine at home and abroad, and to focus on the diagnosis and treatment strategy of multidisciplinary integration.
                          
At the end of the meeting, Professor Cui Rong, Director of Respiratory Department, made a summary of the multidisciplinary strategies for diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea disorders.
